CLOSE DUMPS IN FOUR SIMPLE STEPS
We are developing a web platform which allows the public, volunteer organisations and local authorities to help end the problem of illegal dumpsites in communities across Kenya. This platform will enable any member of the public to contribute to a real-time public depository of all illegal dumpsites across the country by simply taking a few pictures, uploading them to the platform, providing geo-locations of the dumps and other basic information for authorities and volunteer organisations to deploy resources to close them down.

After dumpsite is cleared, this is marked closed on the platform
BENEFITS
This platform will increase visibility on hot-spots while ranking local communities response time which in turn will breed good behavior. The platform will also provide real-time data to authorities to help prioritize budgeting for provision of waste services and enforcement as well us engage volunteer organisations in community awareness.
