On 29th April 2023, we held a major cleanup at Nairobi West Prisons. This being followed by a Youth Sanitation Clinic and a football tournament for under 15 years for twenty four girls and boys teams from Nairobi. Young Boys (boys) and Barsenal (girls) were crowned champions. This project was supported by Norwegian Retailers Environment Fund. Cleanup was held as part of a project to recover plastics from Nairobi River and source areas. Nairobi West Prisons cleanup saw over 700 volunteers participate recovering over 30 tonnes of waste with 20 percent estimated to be plastics related.
